ABOUT

Connected for Good is a short-film competition in search for creative and inspirational stories about Ericsson’s Internet of Things (IoT) and/or sustainable initiatives and how this impacts society in the bigger picture.

This competition also aims to

  1. Identify the next generation of Malaysian filmmakers by nurturing and inspiring up-and-coming talent
  2. Initiate collaboration between Ericsson Malaysia and Malaysian Institutions of Higher Education
  3. Eliminate the gap between the needs of the industry and the skills of local graduates

COMPETITION GUIDELINES

Film must be a maximum of two minutes in duration, including credits and titles. Any film that exceeds two (2) minutes in duration will be disqualified.

The format of the film must be mov, mp4, H264, or wmv.

Film must comply to Ericsson’s Video Guidelines

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

University or Tertiary Education Students from all private and public institutions in Malaysia.

Employees (and their immediate families and household members) of Ericsson, any entities responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering or promoting the competition or supplying the prizes, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliated and successor companies, are not eligible to enter the competition or win a prize.

HOW TO REGISTER?

Each participating team will be required to submit an online application form along with a proof of student status (Student ID).

Upload film entry on the website.

No application fee is required.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

All films must be original work and must not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, or otherwise be unlawful.

Ericsson has overall discretion in determining whether to publish, screen or broadcast any material.

Ericsson is entitled without liability to cancel the competition and/or to make reasonable adjustments to the competition rules at any time.

Upon completion of the film, copyrights of the films will be given to Ericsson for a specific period of time.

Copyright transfer forms needs to be signed by all winners.

Ericsson will not be responsible for the film production costs and any related administrative expenses.
